Introducing 'The Veritas Voice'

Veritas Debate started out as the brainchild of two students in an entrepreneurship lesson, who, on the sidelines of the class, started discussing ideas for their very own venture. Call it the most elaborate practical application of a lesson, if you will. Tanmai and I discussed several ideas- a research journal, a student-led resource workshop and whatnot. However, the idea we could not resist, given it being a mutual interest and forte, was a debate organization. We wanted a platform where debaters like us could connect, compete, collaborate and share their ideas. And this was the perfect venture.

Thus, Veritas came into being, an online debate organization that, up till now, hosted online debate competitions. However, with the desire to be an enduring organization, we are proud to announce The Veritas Voice. 

The Veritas Voice is, in a literal sense, a blog, but in a figurative sense, a confluence of ideas—where students, debaters and coaches come together. There are no restrictions on the flow of thoughts and perspectives.

The idea of The Veritas Voice is to be a platform where people are not afraid to express their ideas- where diverse perspectives are welcomed, discussions are encouraged, and meaningful conversations thrive.

Monthly articles on a wide array of topics will be published in this editorial, with the hopes of Veritas as an organization branching out from a debate competition into a platform for discussion and intellectual engagement.
